Sunlight Ski Patrol?
Thank you for your interest in becoming a sponsor of the Sunlight Ski Patrol. We are a 501C3 organization whose mission is to provide quality emergency care and a safer recreational environment for the guests of Sunlight Mountain Resort. Members of our Patrol strive to maintain the high standards set by the National Ski Patrol through participation in ongoing training and programs throughout the year. Annually, volunteer patrollers spend more than 50 hours of continued training in disciplines such as Outdoor Emergency Care/Management, Mountain Travel and Rescue, Skiing and Toboggan handling, and multiple aspects of Avalanche Awareness.
The Sunlight Ski Patrol gives back to the community by partnering with many local organizations such as Garfield County Search and Rescue. We provide public education programs including tips for safe backcountry travel, avalanche awareness and transceiver use. We teach First Aid courses to community organizations and assist in providing first aid support for community events such as Ride for the Cure and Relay for Life. It is through the generosity of our sponsors that we are able to provide these services to our patrollers and the local community.
